“Airports are strange and interesting at the same time. It’s fascinating (to me, at least) to sit at a gate and watch people arrive. There are a million stories to be told, just by observing the interaction between people in airports. There is always some drama going on at the gate when someone arrives and someone waiting for them greets them. There is usually enough emotion going on to keep people from talking as quietly as they might in most public situations. The conversations can be heard from a good distance away, and are usually quite interesting. While at the airport the other day, I sat at an American Airlines gate and tried to match people waiting at the gate with people coming off an airplane. I didn’t get one correct match.”
